We are delighted to invite you to the final workshop in Paris on 12 May 2023. This event marks the end of almost four years of hard work by researchers, academics and professionals from all over North West Europe.
The workshop will present the results of the project. It is a unique opportunity for participants to learn about the latest developments in the field of land and material resource recovery, as well as to network and discuss with experts in the field.
The event will take place at Tour Pacific La Défense, in the heart of Paris. The workshop agenda covers topics related to resource recovery from old metallurgical sites and deposits. You will also have the opportunity to discover the 3-step methodology to assess the potential of raw materials recovery from old industrial sites, illustrated by the case study of the Duferco site in Belgium.
Presentations will also cover how to innovatively identify and characterise metallurgical residues from a former industrial site using geophysical imagery and resource distribution models, as well as how to make smart decisions to initiate material recovery projects at your site. You will also learn how to budget your project for material recovery and explore different material recovery techniques (soils, minerals and metals), such as hydro/pyro/hydro-bio-metallurgy techniques and eco-catalyst production.
The workshop will run in parallel with the NICOLE Spring Workshop Paris 2023, organised by the Network for Industrially Co-ordinated Sustainable Land Management in Europe (NICOLE), an opportunity to engage with a wider community of professionals interested in sustainable land management!
We encourage you to join us for this exciting event and take advantage of the opportunity to learn from leading experts in the field of land and material resource recovery. Don’t miss this chance to network, share knowledge and discover new strategies for sustainable land management. Register today to reserve your place at the final NWE-REGENERATIS workshop in Paris on 12 May 2023.
